gaining muscles and losing fats

My 2016 weight loss update y'all!
    Left September 2015
    Right November 2016
    Total Pounds lost: 10 pounds
    Overall weight loss: 45 pounds!

So here’s the deal with 2016. My body gained A TON of muscle and lost a ton of fat. The photos and the measuring tape love it but the scale doesn’t. In 2016 I started weight lifting, did a cycle of Whole 30, was told to cut gluten, actually worked on cutting gluten, joined Beachbody On Demand and started doing 21 Day Fix in September 2016. My biggest piece of advice? Hit up Beachbody if your plateauing! The 21 Day Fix diet did NOT work for me but I absolutely love the workout program. The workout program helped me lose inches quick!

Also I have Hashimoto’s disease but am not on any thyroid meds. Feel free to reach out if you need help getting started!

Losing weight (194 lbs to 149 lbs) in about 6 months

Before 194

After 149

Goal 120

This took me about a total of 6 months

Going into my weight loss journey I didn’t want to think of it as a “diet” more of me being cautious of what I was in-taking and how it affected me. At first I was going to the gym 5 days a week for about 45 minutes. I would do 30 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of weights. I wasn’t really keeping track of my calories, but I was guesstimating and trying to stay below at least 1250 calories. I usually ate what I wanted as long as it was in that calorie range for the day. I did however cut out most sugars. And definitely soft drinks!  I am by no means at my goal. I still have about 30 lbs to reach my main goal. I did reach my first one which was to get to 150! Yay :) It’s really hard to actually realize how different you actually look, that is why these before and afters are really important. You may be thinking “ugh, I don’t want to document myself looking like this!” Well, trust me neither did I, but looking back and seeing the difference really helps to stay motivated! Especially when you feel like you aren’t making progress, cause girl… I still feel the same! Good luck to anyone who is out there looking at these for motivation :) You can do it.

I want just to share with you my experience, I'm proud of my shape now, before as you see in the left picture my shape wasn't good, I have not been exercising  as often as I was. So, my weight has increased significantly, seeing the left picture reminded me of those black days as I called them, there was no dresses fit me, no trousers suit me. Frankly, I couldn't wear jeans and tights and when I wore them I looked like a  big monster, my thighs were big and wrinkles appeared obviously from far. So, now thank to god and my friends who motivate me to continue doing exercise. before and after pictures of weight loss

Before and After Weight Loss Story

before i started my new weight loss programme my weight was 188LBS (85.27KG)

But now and after a little of patience my weight is 144LBS (65.31KG)
I'm very proud of myself. Since I started the weight loss programme my life has changed to the better.

I started my journey in February. I was always shy about my weight, I can remember when I went with my boyfriend to the swimming pool, my body was look  bad and ugly, but now i got my weight dream due to following a good diet and doing some home exercise.

Making before and after weight loss photos

One of the hardest parts of losing weight, it is the feeling that you're not really making progress. Although the numbers of the scale are soaking, you can not see a visible change when you look in the mirror. Therefore, before and after pictures of weight loss are so useful.

Taking before and after pictures of weight loss:

Before you start taking pictures before and after weight loss, you should establish a regular schedule. Take a snapshot of every month you will see a steady increase in your weight loss.

For before and after photos, to be effective, must be able to see as much of your body as possible. If you feel taking a naked or in underwear at home photo, this is the most effective way. Otherwise, wear a bikini or a swimsuit or tight clothing such as a shirt and cycling shorts. If possible, keep your clothes on the same for each image.

Then you want to set up your shot. You want to have as much of your body as possible in the pictures, but want to be close enough to clearly see the changes in your weight loss program is. You can take pictures of the knee to help you to shoot close-up.

If you do not have a friend or family member you feel comfortable asking to take pictures for you, use the automatic setting of the device. If possible, take notes or make a small mark where you are and where you place the camera. This will help keep your uniform before and after pictures.

You want to take pictures of two different poses - one front and one in the profile. This will cause changes in the shape of the visible body.

You might be surprised how much it changed once to compare images of yourself before and after weight loss. When changes in body shape gradually get used to the way you look in the mirror. But to see a snapshot of a month before, you can see that the loss of those pounds really made a big difference.
